JULY 1 – JULY 14 (14 Days)
Anyang University (http://www.anyang.ac.kr/eng/)
About 16 Liberal Arts Majors (19-24) students came from this private university south of Seoul, Korea to study English and American Culture. Anyang University is a well-known university in Korea. The students from this university explain themselves as they foster the endless pursuit of infinite possibilities and hidden potentials. These students received partial scholarships to attend this program.
JULY 15 – AUGUST 4 (21 Days)
Hyundai Chungun High School (http://hcu.hs.kr/) (In Korean)
High School students from Ulsan, Korea: About 24 students (15 to 17 years old) came from Hyundai Chungun High School.
Chungun H.S. is one of the most academically challenging and prestigious high schools in Korea.
Many graduates of the high school enroll in the best universities in Korea, and go on to such
distinguished positions such as top executives, government workers and politicians of Korea. Those
students who participate in our program were also specially selected through a strict
competition process and received full scholarships to participate in this program.
July 31 – August 14 (14 days)
Showa University Medical School (http://www.showa-u.ac.jp/en/)
About 18 medical school students from Showa University participated in the Summer Homestay program at Portland State University in the Summer of 2013. Students took special medical seminars, went on medical facility and hospital visits, as well as the American culture and English language program.
